



“the problem is that the WD call to the Dropbox API is using 4mb “chunks” of file…Dropbox can take up to 150mb chunks. Interesting discussion on ANOTHER thread reporting this here Dropbox backup insanely slow where someone notes: So it seems it is the dropbox app implementation or something else on the WD that is affecting the speed of dropbox sync when working on large files. I also know it is not my network as I can sync the files from my laptop fine connected over the same network. I have exactly the same problem as noted in my thread - thanks for confirming my case I know it is NOT the error linked to in the support ticket above as the normal size files work.
